Rachel and I just got back from a little weekend jaunt to Providence, RI. It was nice. I picked up a few great books and checked at some good thrift stores and used bookstores. When we got back to Brooklyn, this package from Laura Heit was waiting for me. I like coming home to packages like this. It contained an atlas of the brain and spinal cord, which is helpful as I've been meaning to learn my way around them both.

August in New York is a really dumb time to throw a fundraising party because so many people leave town. The party is being postponed until a date T.B.D. in October. I will keep you posted.

Charles Goldman and I spent the day building walls for the new space. Many thanks to Charles for all of his help and for his wall-building expertise. The work would have been much slower without him. Here are some photos from the day:

Yesterday was the last day of the Library Show at Proteus Gowanus. On the one hand it was sad to see the show end because it has been such a great year, filled with many great moments and events. On the other hand, it is quite exciting for me because the Reanimation Library will be moving into a new, permanent home in a space that is adjacent to PG. Over the next few months, I will be buliding out the space for future home of the Library. The space will allow me to grow the collections and provide more services. I will be posting images of the new space as it comes together.

I would like to thank all of the participants of and visitors to the show at Proteus. This was a fantastic year.
