Andrew came to one of my classes and put on such a exhilarating show that I decided I had to be his friend. But little did I know that by entering the Reanimation Library, I was embarking on a fantastic adventure of curious and bizarre images that have sadly been discarded by the less imaginative. Austrian skiing instructors in tight wool pants, strangely poetic illustrations of psychological phenomena, color saturated sea creatures, titillating CPR diagrams from the first aid books of former boy scouts... I feel like Alice in Wonderland.

And what would the world be if we had ignored Lewis Carroll's masterpiece because it had been deemed "irrelevant?"

My name is Kate Dundon, and I am the intern at the Reanimation Library. I plan to graduate from NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study in the spring of 2006 with a concentration in literature, literary theory, and creative writing. I can do lots of things, some of which include writing, reading, making books, making art, and riding my bike pretty fast. I'm interested in libraries, conservation, publishing, lit mags, book arts, and fiction. Please email me if you want to give me a job or think I would like to participate in a project.
